Meet your instructor

Being the oldest of eight kids I have been surrounded by kids my entire life. I have worked with  many families and organizations  with children all ages and abilities. Aside from spending my time with kids I love being outside and can usually be found on a mountain side, rock climbing or taking a nap in the grass. After finishing my B.A in Adventure Education and acquiring many outdoor skills and certifications, I found myself teaching my siblings outdoor skills . I love and enjoy watching them learn a new skill. I have always found nature to be a place a rest, learning and adventure and want to share my love of nature and outdoor skills with kids. After ten plus years of working in childcare the sense of awe, knowledge, excitement and ability that kids bring to their environment never ceases to amaze me. Kids bring so much to life by their imagination and willingness to learn but can struggle to have the time, space and trust to explore and try new things. I want to teach outdoors skills in nature as a way to nurture and grow their expertise and skills so that they can be learners, themselves and become teachers. I look forward to meeting you and taking your child on an adventure they won't soon forget.
